Free Flu vaccine - Drop-in clinic - Saturday 29th September   8:30 to 11:30

We would like the following ADULTS to claim a free flu jab at our clinic on 29th September: 

  • Aged 75 or older
  • aged 18 up to 64 (born on or after 01/04/1954) who are IN A RISK GROUP (with a medical condition which puts them at higher risk of being admitted to hospital if they get flu*  see Link Medical conditions that qualify for free flu vaccine)
  • Pregnant 
  • Living in a long-stay Care Home
  • A Carer in receipt of Carer's Allowance or are the Main Carer for an older or disabled person who would be at risk if you became ill
  • Living with somebody who has a weakened immune system

We would like CHILDREN aged 6 months to less than 18 who are IN A RISK GROUP (with a medical condition which puts them at higher risk of being admitted to hospital if they get flu*) to attend our Drop-in clinic on Saturday 29th September  see  Medical conditions that qualify for free flu vaccine

AND

We would like ALL CHILDREN born on or after 1st September 2014 and on or before 31st August 2016 to attend our Drop-in clinic on Saturday 29th September

We would like ADULTS aged 65 to 74 (or 64 and turning 65 before end of March 2019) who are NOT ALSO in a Risk Group to claim a free flu jab at our clinic on 20th October 


There are 3 different types of vaccine this year - and some are being delivered earlier than others.

NEWSFLASH - VACCINE ARRIVED IN TIME FOR OUR FIRST DROP-IN CLINIC SATURDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 8:30 TO 11:30

Prebookable appointments for patients Aged 65 or older, or 64 and turning 65 before the end of March 2019 are not yet available.  Estimated availability AFTER OUR 2ND SATURDAY CLINIC ON 20TH OCTOBER.

About the School flu vaccination programme

All children in primary school Reception class and Years 1, 2,3,4,5 will be offered the flu vaccine by their local School Immunisation Team.  Other children aged 4 to 9 (date of birth 1st September 2008 to 31st August 2014 inclusive) will also be invited to School Team clinics.


For short term conditions, Over the Counter medications will no longer routinely be prescribed August 2018
