Trainee GP Registrars
We are a training practice for GP Registrars. A GP Registrar is an experienced doctor who has decided to specialise in general practice to become a GP. The Registrar is fully supervised by one of our qualified doctors. You will be told when you book your appointment if you are seeing the Registrar. You may choose to see a GP instead. The practice is inspected for training which involves examination of medical records. Only approved doctors will do this and they will respect the confidentiality of all information. The Registrar is usually based in the practice initially for a few months and then they return for a longer period at a later date.

Charter Medical Clinical Pharmacy Team
Our Clinical Pharmacy Team do not work for the Charter Pharmacy on site. This is operated by Ackers.
The surgery employs a Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Clerks to help manage our patients’ prescription requests, medication reviews and changes efficiently and safely. Our Clinical Pharmacist also sees patients for some Annual Reviews of long term conditions such as Diabetes and Hypertension.

Practice Clinical pharmacists are highly qualified experts in medicines and can help people in a range of ways. This includes carrying out structured medication reviews for patients with ongoing health problems and improving patient safety, outcomes and value through a person-centred approach.

In addition to her Clinical Pharmacist qualifications, Rebecca will shortly complete her Masters Degree as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. Rebecca manages the Practice Clinical Pharmacy Team to ensure that your medications are reviewed and are kept up to date, for instance after a stay in hospital. Rebecca also does some telephone and face to face reviews for patients with long term conditions such as diabetes. She will soon start to see a wider range of patients.

Healthcare Assistants
